Project narrative

On November 8th, 2023, the Chinese Government allocated 1.4 million USD for Phase 2 of Technical Assistance in Support of the Agriculture Sector Wide Approach (ASWAP) in Malawi. A tripartite agreement was signed between Malawi's Ministry of Agriculture, the Chinese Government, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. The funds will be allocated under the FAO-China South-South Cooperation Agreement (SSC) to improve crop production, agricultural mechanization, integrated pest control, water management, livestock, and fisheries in Malawi. The project will be implemented over two years.
