The material given included equipment for weightlifting, badminton, and table tennis. The weightlifting equipment includes training platforms, 6 training bars with full loads for men, 6 training bars with full loads for women, around 20 shoes, swimsuits, belts, knee pads and wristbands, and electric scales; for table tennis, floor coverings, tables, 12 nets, scorers, 3,600 balls, and 2 robots; for badminton, 80 rackets, 400 racket strings, and 5000 shuttlecocks; for athletics: 24 starting blocks, 60 hurdles, 25 weights, 25 javelins and around 15 discs, among other equipment. According to media sources, some of this was used for the athletes' training and another part will be used during the Island Games. The monetary value of the equipment is unknown. This grant is part of a three-part emergency technical assistance project for sports cooperation between the two countries ahead of the 11th Indian Ocean Island Countries Games, to be hosted by Madagascar scheduled August 25 to September 3, 2023. The other two parts consisted of 51 coaches and athletes training in China since February 2023 (Record ID#103416) and China sending coaches and athletes to Madagascar from June to August 2023 (Record ID#103401).
