Project narrative

Since 1997, Hubei Province has been dispatching medical teams to Lesotho. On March 28, 2023, the 17th Chinese medical team arrived in Maseru, Lesotho. The team was composed of seven physicians from various hospitals in Wuhan City, specializing in anesthesiology, intensive care medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, radiology, trauma, and orthopedics. They began their mission in April 2023 at Motebang Hospital, where they worked to improve access to healthcare for local communities. The medical team completed its one-year assignment on March 28, 2024.
