Project narrative

On December 16, 2022, Chinese Ambassador Wei Hongtian inspected the Laporte Agricultural Planting Area in Tivoli, in the St. Andrew parish of Grenada. The Laporte Agricultural Planting Area is one site of the Small Agricultural Irrigation Projects being carried out with Chinese assistance in Grenada. The project is part of the 8th phase of the China-Aided Grenada Agricultural Technology Cooperation Project (captured in Record ID#54764), and is intended to help alleviate local water shortages that impact agriculture and food security.
