Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On March 8, 2023, the Samoa Victims Support Group held an opening ceremony for a Chinese language class funded by the Chinese Embassy at the National University of Samoa's Confucius Institute. The Embassy also donated school supplies including book bags, notepads, and pens to the students. The value of the donated supplies is unknown. The purpose of the class is to increase Chinese language skills and increase people-to-people exchanges between Samoa and China. The Confucius Institute has been in operation since 2018, and the Embassy has been funding Chinese classes with volunteer teachers since 2001.
