Project narrative

On June 17, 2020, the Chinese Association of Science and Technology in Finland received a shipment of 20,000 surgical masks and 10,000 other pieces of protective equipment from the Hubei Province, China. The supplies were distributed among different parts of the association and to Chinese nationals in Finland.

Staff comments

1. The estimated transaction amount was determined using AidData's COVID Transaction Estimator. 20,000 masks * $0.3 per mask (June 2020 prices) = $6,000 USD. AidData elects to omit the 10,000 other pieces of protective equipment from the transaction estimate; since the contents of the donation can not be determined, a fair estimate can not be made.
