Project narrative

On May 31, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Senegal provided an in-kind grant to the Daaray Serigne Saliou Mbacke orphanage in Keur Ndiaye Lo, Senegal. The donation event was attended by embassy representatives, local government officials, and members of the Senegalese Service Foundation, which is chaired by the First Lady of Senegal. This initiative was jointly supported by the Organization of African First Ladies for Development and Peng Liyuan, First Lady of China, and forms part of China’s broader outreach to support vulnerable children in Africa.
