Project narrative

On July 18, 2023, H. E. Ambassador Xiao Jianguo attended the ceremony of Chinese Book Donation and the Launching of China's traditional Story at the Muara Library in Brunei. The Embassy donated 169 books in English to the Library of Language and Literature Bureau this time, covering topics like China’s economy, society, culture, science and technology, and literature. The purpose of the donation was to enhance Bruneian students' understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture. To date, the Embassy has successfully donated Chinese books for four consecutive years to 12 Bruneian universities, secondary schools, primary schools, and cultural organizations.
