Project narrative

On November 16, 2023, the second batch of earthquake relief materials donated by the Chinese government to Afghanistan arrived in Herat Province in northwestern Afghanistan. This batch of donation was shipped in 41 containers from Irkeshtam Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on October 24, 2023. This batch of supplies, weighing 400 tons, includes cotton tents, folding beds, quilts, down jackets, family bags, etc. which will help the people affected by the Herat earthquake to survive the cold winter. The monetary value of the donation is not known. The first donation was delivered on October 15, 2023 (see Record ID #103719).
