Project narrative

On December 20, 2023, the Chinese Government provided a USD 100,000 donation to the Seychelles Government to support post-disaster reconstruction. The funds will facilitate the reparation of the Seychelles Bureau of Standards (SBS), originally funded in 2003 by the Chinese Government (captured in record #55736), which was affected by an explosion at the Providence Industrial Zone on December 7. Prior to this donation, the Chinese Embassy in Seychelles had already donated SCR 100,000 for a similar post-disaster reconstruction effort (captured in record #103876).
