In October 2014, ICBC Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (ICBCFL; ICBC Leasing) — a Chinese state-owned leasing company and wholly-owned subsidiary of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) — entered into a €800 million EUR ($1 billion USD) loan agreement with Silversea Cruises Ltd. — a Bahamas-incorporated Monaco-headquartered ultra-luxury and expedition travel brand operating cruise ships — reportedly for the construction of three new cruise ships by Fincantieri S.p.A..
