Project narrative

On May 12, 2023, the 19th Chinese medical team to Seychelles (第19批援塞舌尔医疗队), sent by Shandong Province, arrived in Seychelles. The 6 member team, with specialties in cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, and Chinese traditional medicine, was stationed at Victoria Hospital in the the capital city of Victoria. It was to complete its term of service between May 2023 and May 2025. Since 1986, Shandong Province has been sending medical teams to Seychelles every two years.
