Project narrative

On September 26, 2009 China's Consulate General in Houston donated a statue of Confucius to the city government of Houston to commemorate the 2,560th anniversary of the birth of Confucius and the 30th anniversary of Sino-United States diplomatic ties. The statue was erected in Hermann Park in downtown Houston and unveiled in a dedication ceremony on September 26, 2009.
