Project narrative

On September 19, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives donated 3,000 LED street lights to the Malé City Council. The donation aimed to enhance the city's infrastructure and safety while commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Maldives. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Ambassador Wang Lixin and Malé's Mayor, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
