The Confucius Classroom at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics was established in 2015. Hanban, through the North Carolina Center for International Understanding (CIU), awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics with a grant. The classroom was under the Confucius Institute at North Carolina State University, as captured by Record ID#44010.
