The Confucius Classroom at Fayette County Public School was established October 13, 2010. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), through the Hanban-Asia Society Confucius Classrooms Network, awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Fayette County Public Schools with a grant.
