The Confucius Classroom at Cascade Heights Public Charter School was established on March 21, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Cascade Heights Charter School with a grant. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened on April 15, 2011.
