Project narrative

Between October 22-24, 2023, the Chinese province of Hunan participated in the China–Hunan–Dominican Agricultural Machinery Exhibition held in Santo Domingo. On October 24, Hunan Province formally donated 43 agricultural machines to the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Agriculture to support agricultural modernization. The donation included tractors, sugarcane harvesters, tracked rotary cultivators, and other modern equipment from Chinese manufacturers like ZOOMLION designed for use in dry and paddy fields. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. According to the Ministry of Economy’s November 2023 monitoring report, the donated equipment was distributed to producers and agricultural research centers across the country.
