Project narrative

On February 22, 2022, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security pledged a donation of information equipment to the Maldives Police Service. The Chinese government formalized the pledged equipment assistance through a formalized Exchange of Notes at a ceremony attended by Chinese Ambassador Wang Lixin and Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed. The batch of information equipment will include computers and servers. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
