Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Edward Bleeker JHS 185 was established on September 9, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Edward Bleeker JHS 185 with a grant. Shanghai Guanquan Foreign Languages Middle School (甘泉外国语学校) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. It was officially opened in 2013.
