The Confucius Classroom at Peddie School was established on October 13, 2010. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Peddie School with a grant. No. 2 High School of East China Normal University (华东师范大学第2附属中学) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom.
