Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Massapequa High School at Massapequa School District was established on September 9, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Massapequa High School with a grant. Shanghai Jinhui Experimental School (金汇实验学校) was the partner Chinese institution for this Confucius Classroom. The Confucius Classroom was officially opened in 2013.
