Project narrative

On April 28, 2023, the Chinese government donated 30 emergency tents, 10 standby generators, 5 rescue boats with of engines, fuel containers, and 25 life jackets to Trinidad and Tobago's Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management, a division of the National Security Ministry. The donation was completed at a handover ceremony held on April 28, 2023. Later, in November 2023, the materials were disbursed by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management to various government bodies, including the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government’s Disaster Management Units, the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Force, the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, and the Tobago Emergency Management Agency. The donation was valued at TT $330,000.00.
