On July 30, 2023, the Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen met in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the Yemeni recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year and provided them with admission letters to study in China. The number of students who received the scholarship and the monetary value of the award are both unknown.
