Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 4, 2023, the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) donated 1,000 tons of wheat to Mauritania, valued at $312,800. The first batch of 440 tons was disbursed on March 27, and a second batch of 560 tons was disbursed later in May. The donation was made in effort to alleviate food insecurity and rising prices in the region. Ambassador Li Baiju and Hetley, Mauritanian Food Security Commissioner, attended the donation ceremony and signed the handover certificate.
