Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On February 3, 2023, Chinese Ambassador Chen Song attended the opening ceremony for the newly constructed Ratna Middle School building in northern Nepal. The event was part of the school's 59th-anniversary celebration and marks it as one of ten schools in mountainous northern regions supported by China post-2015 earthquake. The project involved the rebuilding of the school over approximately two and a half years, fully funded and supervised by the Chinese government, using Chinese construction standards and staffed by Chinese and Nepalese engineers. The final school can accommodate up to 700 students. Ambassador Chen also donated books, stationery, and sports equipment to students.
