Project narrative

On November 6, 2023, the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) provided 27.4 million Nepalese Rupees (approximately USD 207,000) in earthquake relief materials to support recovery and humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of the Jajarkot earthquake in western Nepal. The relief package was officially handed over during a ceremony at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, where Deputy Chief of Mission Wang Xin presented the aid to Nepali leaders, including Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, a central committee member of the ruling CPN-UML. The donated materials included essential supplies such as blankets, food, and shelter items, aimed at assisting those affected by the disaster.
