Project narrative

On November 3, 2023, the Chinese Embassy and Addis Ababa University (AAU) formalized the China-Ethiopia Friendship Scholarship Program through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The program offers 120 scholarships for graduate and postgraduate students. The China-Ethiopia Friendship Scholarship Program provides scholarships to Ethiopian students at AAU, prioritizing both academic achievement and financial need. This initiative seeks to strengthen educational ties between China and Ethiopia, enhance research capacity, and contribute to Ethiopia’s broader national development objectives.
