Project narrative

On March 23, 2023, 18 students from Chad were awarded the Qincheng Scholarship for the Confucius Institute at the University of N'Djamena. This was the second time the scholarship had been awarded. Ceremony attendees included Chinese Ambassador to Chad Wang Xining, Secretary-General of Chad's Ministry of Higher Education Nourena, President Haggar of the University of N'Djamena, leaders of relevant departments and faculties of the university, Chinese and Chadian directors of the Confucius Institute, representatives of the Chad Chinese Association, as well as Confucius Institute teachers, students, and parent representatives. The "Qincheng Scholarship" was established by the Embassy in Chad in 2022. It is awarded to students who have dedicated themselves to learning about Chinese language and culture.
