Project narrative

On February 9, 2023, Zhao Xiyuan, Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kenya, attended and addressed the closing ceremony of the Chinese language training course for Kenyan immigration officials. With the assistance of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kenya, the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi has long provided Chinese language training for Kenyan immigration officials, with about 200 trainees participating in the relevant training.
