Project narrative

On April 12, 2023, China State Construction Engineering Corporation Algeria (CSCEC Algeria) held a Ramadan charity event in the municipality of Staoueli, on the western outskirts of Algiers. The company donated food packages to over 300 low-income households in collaboration with local mosques. Each package contained rice, flour, semolina, sugar, cooking oil, and other staple necessities. The donation ceremony was attended by Chen Zhong, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Algeria; Tang Hao, Chairman of CSCEC Algeria; and Rebidge Mohamed, Deputy Mayor of Staoueli. Since relocating its headquarters to Staoueli in 2007, CSCEC Algeria has consistently organized Ramadan donation events as part of its corporate social responsibility. The 2023 event marked the 17th consecutive year of Ramadan donations by the company.
