Project narrative

On April 26, 2023, Assistant Chief of Defense Forces Major General Fredrick Leuria and Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Zhou Pingjian, celebrated the kick off of Mandarin language classes at the Defense Forces School of Education and Languages (DEFSEL) in Langata Barracks. Teachers, basic teaching materials, and learning resources were provided by the Chinese Embassy. In the future, the program will be carried out in partnership with the University of Nairobi's Confucius Institute.
