Project narrative

On March 30, 2023, the 10th Chinese medical team to South Sudan donated medicines and medical equipment to Juba Teaching Hospital. The handover ceremony was held in Juba. Ambassador Ma Qiang said that with the support of the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China and the Anhui Provincial Government, the donated medical supplies and equipment include more than 280 types of products in more than 150 boxes, including commonly used basic medicines in various departments such as cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology and endocrinology, as well as consumables and instruments commonly used in operating rooms for otorhinolaryngology, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery. At the same time, it also includes long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets, mosquito repellent sprays and other anti-malaria supplies provided by the project to establish a cooperation mechanism with counterpart hospitals.
