Project narrative

On January 5, 2023, a ceremony was held for the Chinese People's Liberation Army's (PLA) donation of educational materials to three primary schools in Balbala, Djibouti. The ceremony was held at the PLA Support Base in Djibouti. The materials would help support public welfare activities and community schools by improving the teaching environment and giving students better opportunities for growth. Among the items donated were office computers, desks, projectors, chairs and other educational materials, with the total number of items exceeding 1,000. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. Chinese Ambassador Hu Bin gave a speech at the ceremony. Other figures in attendance were the Djiboutian Ambassador to China, Abdallah Abdillahi Miguil, Political Commissar of the Support Base, Liu Feng, and Djibouti's Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud.
