Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On February 9, 2023, Chinese Ambassador Li Ming handed over a donation of 10 motorcycles to the Honiara City Council on behalf of the Jiangmen City Government. The donation was a follow-up to a sister city video conference held in December 2022, and stemmed from a formal sister city agreement signed in May 2022. The motorbikes, manufactured in Jiangmen, are intended to strengthen the logistical and operational capacity of Honiara City Council—particularly its Law Enforcement Division—and assist in preparations for the 2023 Pacific Games. Local officials emphasized that the donation reflects deepening subnational cooperation and brings tangible development benefits to Honiara residents.
