Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On January 30, 2023, a Confucius Institute was jointly established by Beijing City University and the University of Guadalajara. Although the establishment was originally approved in 2019, implementation was delayed due to three years of negotiations, the subject of which remains unclear. The Guadalajara Confucius Institute was the final institution established under a 2006 MOU that outlined a plan to build numerous Confucius Institutes in Mexico. Guadalajara's Confucius Institute currently holds its courses in the nearby Proulex Language Center. Courses include Chinese business, trade, culture, and language, with the goal of enhancing cultural and academic exchange.
