Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 29, 2023, the Chinese Consulate General in Kolkata donated a set of 56 traditional ethnic dolls—each representing one of China's officially recognized ethnic groups—to the Nehru Children’s Museum in Kolkata. This donation was part of a cultural exchange initiative aimed at enhancing Indian children's understanding of Chinese culture and promoting mutual appreciation between China and India. The Nehru Children’s Museum, established in 1972 and operated by the National Cultural Association, is renowned for its extensive collection of dolls from around the world.
