Project narrative

On August 8, 2023, a reception was held for the 34 Ecuadorian students who received scholarships from the Chinese government to pursue higher education in China for the 2023-2024 school year. The monetary value of the scholarships is unknown. These scholarships are part of an agreement signed in 2021 between the Ecuador Ministry of Education and the China Ministry of Education to provide 300 higher education scholarships to Ecuador over 5 years (see Record ID#97385)
