Project narrative

On March 10th, 2023, the 12th Chinese medical team was welcomed at the Chinese Embassy in Ghana to mark the beginning of a one-year medical aid mission. The team was stationed at the China-Ghana Friendship Hospital, and was comprised of 11 doctors from China's Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital. The doctors provided free surgeries and clinical services to Ghanaians and local employees of Chinese state-owned enterprises. The team also continued the "Seeing The Beautiful World" cataract surgery project initiated by the 11th Chinese medical team in Ghana, and aimed to complete 100 surgeries.
