Project narrative

On September 12, 2023, the opening ceremony for the "Seminar Program on Capacity Building for Rules of Origin of the Upgraded ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement" was held in Nya Pyi Daw. The training covered the ACFTA rules of origin, visa issues, product-specific regulations, and Original Certificate Forms, with a goal of improving the understanding of native regulations and trade facilitation among Myanmar government officials. The training was hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and organized by the Academy for International Business Officials and the Myanmar Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations. The training lasted for 4 days, and 35 Myanmar government officials took part.
