On April 4, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) held a joint Iftar and charity donation event at NU headquarters. The Chinese Embassy for donated Ramadan care packages containing rice, sugar, cooking oil, and other daily necessities to 1,000 people in need. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
