Project narrative

In April 2023, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) sent its 26th military medical expert team to Zambia. The team consisted of 11 members. On April 24, 2023, team members attended the reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Zambia that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the dispatch of the Chinese medical team to Africa and the 45th anniversary of the dispatch of the Chinese medical team to Zambia. The team has a year-long duty in Zambia. On March 5, 2024, all 11 members were awarded the "International Cooperation Medal" by Zambian Ministry of Defense.
