Project narrative

On August 17, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania held a farewell party for the new recipients of the 2023/24 Chinese Government Scholarship. The degree program scholarship, provided by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, supports 114 Tanzanian students to pursue higher education at various institutions across China. The Chinese Scholarship Council provided an additional 46 scholarships to Tanzanian students for the 2023/2024 academic year (see Record ID #107269). The scholarships offered by China represent the largest number offered by any country to Tanzanian students and focus on key priority areas for the Tanzanian government, including medicine, science, and technology.
