Project narrative

On March 16, 2023, the Chinese Government handed over a 1 million USD donation to Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania for mountain fire relief. This assistance follows a series of mountain fires that occurred in Mount Kilimanjaro in October 2022. In response, President Xi, on behalf of the Chinese government, announced in November 2022 that China would provide emergency aid to Tanzania to support fire prevention and recovery efforts.
