In December 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Ghana announced that 339 Ghanaian students received the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship. The students were awarded the scholarship based on their Chinese language proficiency. Winners include university students from Ghanaian Confucius Institutes. The value of the scholarships are unknown.
