Project narrative

On March 21, 2020, the Bank of China purchased and sent 500,000 surgical masks to the Department of Health of the Philippines. On March 28, 2020, the masks were delivered at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, the Philippines, and then to the Department of Health headquarters. Dr. Miko Amansec and Dr. Mar Wynn Bello of the Philippines Department of Health personally received the donation which had the Filipino proverb, "Matibay ang walis, palibhasa'y magkabigkis," meaning that there is "strength in unity."
