Project narrative

On July 4, 2023, the second medical team of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) arrived in Phnom Penh. The team composed of 8 experts from Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, covering internal medicine, acupuncture and orthopedics. The team was received by the team leader and deputy team leader of the first Chinese medicine medical team upon arrival. The team will continue the daily work of diagnosis and treatment and will promote the construction of the national-level China-Cambodia Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. The medical team is based at Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital's Chinese Medicine Clinic in Phnom Penh. This visit is a part of an agreement signed on January 25, 2022 between the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Cambodian Ministry of Health to send Traditional Chinese Medicine anti-epidemic medical teams to Cambodia. The first medical team of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) was sent to Cambodia on March 16, 2022 (see Record ID #95066).
