On June 4, 2021, financial close was reached on a deal in which a syndicate of 19 banks — including Agricultural Bank of China — entered into a $1,500,000,000 USD 364-day revolving credit agreement with Humana Inc., a Louisville-based health insurance and managed care company. The maturity of the loan is approximately 1 year, and the interest rate was LIBOR plus an applicable margin. The use of proceeds was for general corporate purposes. While Agricultural Bank of China contributed to this loan (Record ID#107547), the following lenders also participated: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Regions Bank, The Bank of New York Mellon, UMB Bank, N.A., Truist Bank, N.A., The Toronto-Dominion Bank (New York Branch), The Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of America, N.A., Citibank, N.A., Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Fifth Third Bank, Mizuho Bank, Ltd., PNC Bank, National Association, Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A., Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., U.S. Bank, National Association, and Barclays Bank PLC. The individual contributions of the 19 lenders to this $1.5 billion USD syndicated loan are unknown. For the time being, AidData has estimated the contribution of Agricultural Bank of China by assuming that each lender contributed an equal amount ($78,947,368.42 USD) to the loan syndicate.
