On November 28, 2023, the Chinese Consul General in Lahore, Pakistan awarded 12 students at Central Punjab University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FOHSS) the Consul General Scholarship for them to study at China University of Political Science and Law. The total value of the scholarships to students at Central Punjab University was 500,000 PKR.
