Project narrative

On November 17, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Burundi gave the Burundi National Assembly $46,700 USD for the expansion of the Kigobe Congress Palace. According to members of the Burundi National Assembly, the expansion will provide additional office spaces and build a conference hall with a capacity of around 2,000-2,500 people. The National Assembly reported that construction will begin on the date of donation, or November 17, 2021.
